Kindergarden and schools The preservation of the North Frisian language with its various dialects is one of the main objectives in the daily work of the Frisian Council. That`s why the promotion of the Frisian language in kindergarden and school a specific attention is drawn. Kindergarden: Here a list of all kindergardens which offer Frisian language (as from 2014): Download PDF Schools: Frisian lessons are given In 17 schools (year 2012 / 2013) for 802 pupils. (from commissioner Gerd Vahder). The lessons are given once to twice a week. These lessons are additional lessons and don`t belong to the class schedule. The participation is free.
